NMDC has registered a 11.06% fall in its iron ore production to 2.17 million tonne (MT) in July 2024. The company had produced 2.44 MT iron ore in July last year. However, the sales volumes rose 5.15% to 3.06 MT in July 2024 from 2.91 MT in the same month a year ago.
The company’s Chhattisgarh mines produced 1.22 MT of iron ore and registered sales volume of 1.96 MT in July 2024, while Karnataka mines produced 0.95 MT of iron ore and sold 1.10 MT of iron ore in July 2024.
NMDC is a state-controlled mineral producer of the Government of India. It is fully owned by the Government of India and is under administrative control of the Ministry of Steel.
