Avenue Supermarts has informed that the Company has received two orders imposing penalty on the Company, the details of which are as follows: 1. Name of the authority - District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission at Raipur. 2. Nature and details of the action(s) taken, initiated or order(s) passed - The company has been directed to pay Rs 10,000 each to the Complainants. 3. Date of receipt of direction or order, including any ad-interim or interim orders, or any other communication from the authority - August 1, 2024 4. Details of the violation(s)/contravention(s) committed or alleged to be committed - The orders have been issued in respect of two separate complaints filed by complainants in 2019 wherein it was alleged that they were charged for carry bag on purchase of some household products. 5. Impact on financial, operation or other activities of the listed entity, quantifiable in monetary terms to the extent possible - The financial impact of the aforesaid orders is to the extent of the penalty imposed. There is no material impact on operations or other activities of the Company due to the said orders.
