Orchid Chemicals spurts on initiating the process of debt restructuring

Orchid Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals is currently trading at Rs 51.35, up by 0.80 points or 1.58% from its previous closing of Rs 50.55 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs 48.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs 52.55 and Rs 48.00 respectively. So far 112388 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs 131.85 on 20-Jul-2012 and a 52 week low of Rs 46.75 on 13-Jun-2013.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs 58.65 and Rs 47.80 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs 361.42 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 32.28% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 10.17 % and 52.98 % respectively.

Orchid Chemicals and Pharmaceuticals has initiated the process of restructuring its debt due to continuing liquidity constraints and pressure on operations. Accordingly the company has made reference to the Corporate Debt Restructuring Cell (CDR Cell) through State Bank of India (SBI).

Orchid Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals is a pharmaceutical company engaged in development and manufacture of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) and finished dosage forms. It is also engaged in research of new drugs.
