Cochin Shipyard jumps on starting commercial operations at International Ship Repair Facility

Cochin Shipyard is currently trading at Rs. 2231.15, up by 26.45 points or 1.20% from its previous closing of Rs. 2204.70 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 2205.30 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 2257.45 and Rs. 2140.00 respectively. So far 295315 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 2977.10 on 08-Jul-2024 and a 52 week low of Rs. 342.48 on 16-Aug-2023.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 2490.00 and Rs. 2140.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 58991.92 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 72.86%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 7.43% and 19.71% respectively.

Cochin Shipyard (CSL) has commenced the commercial operations at its International Ship Repair Facility (ISRF) by successful docking of the vessel, ‘HSC Parali’ of Union Territory of Lakshadweep Administration. 

The ISRF project costing Rs 970 crore is set up in 42 acres of leased premises of the Cochin Port Authority at Willingdon Island, Kochi. The ISRF is equipped with 6000T ship-lift, Six Workstations and around 1400 metre of berths; suitable for handling vessels of maximum 130 metre length. The facility can repair six such vessels at the dry-workstations simultaneously.

Cochin Shipyard is the first Greenfield and presently the most modern shipbuilding and ship repair yard in India.
