Idea Cellular launches Facebook Messenger free for three months

Idea Cellular, the country’s fourth largest mobile phone company by subscribers, has partnered with Facebook to launch free Facebook Messenger for its subscribers for the first three months. The new offer is available for all Idea 2G and 3G prepaid subscribers for a period of 3 months from the date of activation. The offer on Idea network will be available for activation until July 31, 2013.

The customers can download the Facebook Messenger application from Play store in Android and App store in iOS. They can activate the service by dialing *800*88# from any Android or iOS device to send messages, share pictures, locations and start group conversations with friends while on-the-move.

Idea Cellular, an AV Birla group company, provides Global System for Mobile communications (GSM)-based wireless service at the pan-India level; it is present in all 22 telecom circles.
