Delhi court permits Amar Singh to visit Singapore

Amar Singh, accused for his role in cash-for-vote scam, got permission from Delhi court to visit Singapore for treatment. The former Samajwadi Party leader hospitalized in AIIMS is now discharged and will be travelling abroad for further treatment. "My doctor who performed liver transplant in Singapore is in the US and will be back only on Nov 16. So, I have decided to delay my visit to Singapore and will now go by Nov 15-16," Singh said.

Singh also added "I have full information about the case. But I will not comment as the matter is sub-judice."

The court has granted bail and permission to travel abroad to Rajya Sabha MP considering his critical health and on humanitarian grounds.

Singh was arrested on September 06, 2011 was lodged in Tihar Jail before being hospitalized. He has moved to court last month seeking permission to visit abroad for his treatment.
