Bharti Airtel inks partnership pact with Google

Bharti Airtel, a leading global telecommunications company with operations in 20 countries across Asia and Africa has entered into partnership pact with Google to launch a service ‘Free Zone’. Following this, the company’s users will be able to access Google services such as Gmail, Google+ and Google search on their mobile phones without any data cost. The subscriber, however, have to pay for advanced services such as attachment downloads.

Airtel added 0.85 million users in May, 2013. Following this, the company’s total customer base increased to 189.65 million with a market share of 28.41%.
