Chhattisgarh government has so far disbursed crop loan amounting Rs 951.81 crore to farmers through district cooperative banks in order to meet the credit needs of the farmers. The state government has set a target to provide crop loan worth Rs 3,000 crore to farmers this year through the Primary Cooperative Societies at 1% interest.
Of the total amount, the government has planned to disburse Rs 2,300 crore in the ongoing kharif season while Rs 700 crore will be given in Rabi season. The targeted crop loan of Rs 3000 crore is Rs 967 crore more than the previous year.
