Bharat Petroleum Corporation (BPCL) has received an approval for augmentation of Cochin Coimbatore Karur Pipeline (CCKPL) and Irugur Devangonthi Pipeline (IDPL) along with setting up of Palakkad TOP Kerala at a cost of Rs 1,138 crore. The Board of Directors at its meeting held on September 12, 2024 has approved the same.
The augmentation of pipeline capacity has been planned to facilitate efficient evacuation of finished petroleum product ex BPCL Kochi Refinery (The said capital expenditure includes capital expenditure for associated facilities and setting up of Oil Storage Terminal at Palakkad , Kerala).
BPCL is into exploration, production and retailing of petroleum and petrol related products. The retail business unit of BPCL is into marketing of petrol, diesel and kerosene.
