Essar Steel has introduced wood-finish steel products in the domestic market as an alternative for laminates. These wood-finish steel products are cheaper by 20% and are recyclable and resistant to corrosion. The company is manufacturing these products at its Pune facility. It also plans to roll out these products in the rural areas along with industrial units.

Essar Steel is a fully integrated flat carbon steel manufacturer from iron ore to ready-to-market products. Its products find wide acceptance in highly discerning consumer sectors, such as automotive, white goods, construction, engineering and shipbuilding.
