Gold futures finished higher on Tuesday, as the weak consumer confidence data for September reinforced dovish perspective of the Federal Reserve. Weaker dollar and increased safe haven appeal with the intensified geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, also lifted the yellow metal rates further.
Gold futures for December delivery up by $24.50 or 0.91% to $ 2,677.00 per ounce on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile. While, spot gold rose by $1.67 or 0.06% to settle at $ 2,658.77 an ounce.
