UltraTech Cement has informed that the Board of Directors of the Company, based on the recommendation of the Nomination, Remuneration and Compensation Committee, has today approved the appointment of Vikas Balia (DIN: 00424524) as an Independent Director with effect from 10th October, 2024, for a period of five years, subject to approval of the shareholders of the Company. Balia is independent of the Company's management and based on declarations received, he is not debarred from holding the office of director by virtue of any order passed by the Securities and Exchange Board of India or any other such authorities. The details required under the Listing Regulations and the aforesaid circular are given in Annexure A. Further it has informed that the term of Sukanya Kripalu (DIN: 06994202), Independent Director of the Company, will end on 10th October, 2024.
