Gold futures finished lower on Monday, as the bets over more aggressive interest rate cut by Federal Reserve diminished after Chairman Powell's recent remarks. Further, stronger dollar also dulled investment appeal of the non-yielding bullion.
Gold futures for December delivery down by $8.70 or 0.32% to settle at $2,659.40 per ounce on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile. While, spot gold rose by $4.55 or 0.17% to $2,639.13 an ounce.
