Physical rubber prices improved on Thursday

Physical rubber prices improved on Thursday on supply concerns due to widespread and heavy rain in the producing regions.

Spot prices for RSS-4 variety improved to Rs 190/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 189/ kg, while RSS-5 variety closed at Rs 180/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 179/kg.

In the futures market, contract of July delivery concluded at Rs 188.70 compared to its previous close of Rs 188.37, while August delivery closed at Rs 182.45 compared to its previous closing of Rs 182.55 on the National Multi Commodity Exchange (NMCE).
