09 Oct 2024 Evaluate
Copper futures settled down on Tuesday due to caution ahead to the release of the Minutes of the US Federal Reserve September policy meeting due later on Wednesday. Copper prices weakened further on demand concerns after the world’s top metal consumer China failed to convince investors on how its stimulus package would drive the economy to its growth target.

Copper futures for December delivery lost $0.11 to settle at $4.4565 a pound on the Comex metals division of New York Mercantile Exchange. Copper on the London Metal Exchange was down by 1.88 percent at $9,742.50 a ton.
