Gold futures finished lower on Monday, on account of scaled down in expectations for 50 bps Fed interest rate cut, followed by better-than-expected monthly jobs reports and consumer inflation number. Moreover, two month high value of dollar and continued rise in bond yield notes also eroded investment appeal of the bullion.
Gold futures for December delivery down by $10.70 or 0.40% to settle at $2,665.60 per ounce on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile. While, spot gold up by $1.22 or 0.05% to $2,657.81 an ounce.
