Western Carriers jumps on bagging contract worth Rs 41 crore

Western Carriers (India) is currently trading at Rs. 149.30, up by 3.90 points or 2.68% from its previous closing of Rs. 145.40 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 149.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 151.05 and Rs. 146.25 respectively. So far 32280 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 177.00 on 24-Sep-2024 and a 52 week low of Rs. 140.95 on 07-Oct-2024.

Western Carriers (India) (WCIL) has been selected as the sole supply chain partner for in-plant logistics & container rake transportation for Tata Steel Sponge Iron Joda (TSSIJ) plant in Joda, Odisha for a three-year period. The order value for handling contract is about Rs 41 crore.

This order entails entire logistics support and container rake transportation for both loose and bagged direct reduced iron (DRI/ Sponge Iron). The Company has a proven track record of serving diverse customers across industries.
