Swelect Energy Systems surges on acquiring additional 8% stake in Amex Alloys

Swelect Energy Systems is currently trading at Rs. 158.40, up by 3.00 points or 1.93% from its previous closing of Rs. 155.40 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 153.50 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 158.45 and Rs. 151.00 respectively.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 309.00 on 11-Jul-2012 and a 52 week low of Rs. 131.00 on 11-Dec-2012.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 159.00 and Rs. 145.50 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 157.04 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 65.14% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 0.74% and 34.12% respectively.

Swelect Energy Systems has acquired 8% equity shares in Amex Alloys, Coimbatore, on July 08, 2013. The company was holding 92% equity shares in Amex Alloys and with the aforesaid acquisition of 8%, Amex Alloys will become a 100% wholly owned subsidiary of the company, with effect from July 08, 2013.

Swelect Energy was formerly Numeric Power Systems, a major player in the Uninterruptible Power Supply business. Last year, Numeric Power sold its UPS business and decided to concentrate on solar power and was renamed Swelect Energy.
