Strides Pharma Science trades marginally higher on getting nod to invest Rs 1.61 crore in AMPIN C&I

Strides Pharma Science is currently trading at Rs. 1535.95, up by 1.30 points or 0.08% from its previous closing of Rs. 1534.65 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 1578.50 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1599.70 and Rs. 1520.70 respectively. So far 3471 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1675.25 on 17-Oct-2024 and a 52 week low of Rs. 467.40 on 06-Nov-2023.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 1671.10 and Rs. 1518.90 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 14112.37 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 25.84%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 48.33% and 25.83% respectively.

Strides Pharma Science has received approval for investment not exceeding Rs 1.61 crore in the securities of AMPIN Energy C&I One (AMPIN C&I). This project will facilitate harnessing solar energy at the company’s Alathur facility.

The proposed arrangement is for purchase of electricity/ power as captive user on mutually agreed terms and conditions for utilization at company’s facility in Alathur, Chennai. This is in line with Strides’ commitment to enhance usage of renewable power source in its operations and to comply with the regulatory requirement for being a ‘captive user’ under Indian Electricity Laws. Such investment shall be used by AMPIN C&I for setting up captive solar power projects in Tamil Nadu. The said transaction is expected to be completed in Q4FY25. The Board of Directors of the Company at their meeting held on October 24, 2024, have approved the same.
