Gold futures finished higher on Tuesday, on safe haven appeal of the bullion as market awaits for US presidential election results and on caution ahead of Thursday’s Federal Reserve’s monetary policy announcement. Albeit, strength in dollar and rise in bond yield notes limited some gains in the yellow metal investments.
Gold futures for December delivery up by $3.50 or 0.13% to settle at $2,749.70 per ounce on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile. However, spot gold slipped by $3.46 or 0.13% to $2,740.53 an ounce.
