06 Nov 2024 Evaluate
Copper futures settled higher on Tuesday on expectations that China will unveil more support measures this week at the National People's Congress' Standing Committee meeting. Meanwhile, weak dollar ahead of US election results also makes copper cheaper for buyers holding other currencies and supported demand. Copper prices climbed further after top consumer China’s October manufacturing activity expanded for the first time in six months.

Copper futures for December delivery gained $0.0435 to settle at $4.4750 a pound on the Comex metals division of New York Mercantile Exchange. Copper on the London Metal Exchange was up by 0.43 percent at $9,738.50 a ton.
