Department store chain, Pantaloons is planning to open new formats and enter new cities as part of its growth strategy. With this initiative, the company intends to enhance customer base through increasing its presence in various cities in India. At present it runs 95 stores with a total area of 1.7 million sq ft in the country.
Pantaloon Retail (India) is India’s leading retail chain and part of Indian conglomerate Future Group. It operates retail space spread over 11 million square feet. It has a network of more than 1000 stores across 63 cities in India and has employee strength of 30,000 people.
