07 Nov 2024 Evaluate
Copper futures settled down on Wednesday as the US dollar's strength is pressurizing metal prices after Republican Donald Trump won the US presidential election, and investors were looking ahead to the US Federal Reserve's interest-rate decision for further cues. Meanwhile, investors are turning their focus towards more fiscal stimulus in the world’s top metal consumer China.

Copper futures for December delivery lost $0.229 to settle at $4.2460 a pound on the Comex metals division of New York Mercantile Exchange. Copper on the London Metal Exchange was down by 4.06 percent at $9,343 a ton.
