Dixon Technologies, Thomas Cook and Asian Paints to see some action today

Dixon Technologies (India) has commenced manufacturing fixed broadband devices in India in collaboration with Finnish telecom giant Nokia. This will tap the demand for fixed broadband services in India, which has surged in recent years, led by the rapid adoption of Fiber to the Home (FTTH) and 5G Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) technologies.

Thomas Cook (India) has inaugurated its new franchise outlet in Dombivli (Thane district), to leverage the high-growth market of the city and its surrounding areas. The new outlet aims to serve the significant and growing demand for year round travel.

Asian Paints has reported results for second quarter ended September 30, 2024 (Q2FY25). The company has reported 48.09% fall in its net profit at Rs 602.31 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2024 as compared to Rs 1,160.25 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company decreased by 6.18% at Rs 7,049.93 crore for Q2FY25 as compared to Rs 7,514.52 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.  On consolidated basis, the company has reported fall of 43.71% in net profit at Rs 693.66 crore for Q2FY25 as compared to Rs 1232.39 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company decreased by 5.12% at Rs 8,201.09 crore for Q2FY25 as compared to Rs 8,643.77 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.  

Maruti Suzuki India has inked a pact with Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation India (HSBC India) for inventory funding. The partnership will empower over 4,000 company sales outlets across the country, with comprehensive inventory funding options for their working capital requirements. This strategic alliance will leverage the combined strengths of the automaker and HSBC India to offer comprehensive working capital solutions for dealer partners.

Vishnu Chemicals has signed a definitive agreement to acquire a significant Chrome Mining Complex, comprising of Chrome Mine along with Processing, Mining and Infrastructure assets from Volclay Group of Companies in South Africa, through its wholly owned subsidiary Vishnu South Africa (Pty) (Vishnu SA) in a combination of share and asset deal.

Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) along with Tata STRIVE has entered into a strategic partnership with Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) to uplift the underserved youth in Tripura. The collaboration will establish a state-of-the-art Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Khumulwng, West Tripura, dedicated to building career pathways in hospitality sector for local youth and driving sustainable development in the region.  

CE Info Systems has reported results for second quarter ended September 30, 2024 (Q2FY25). The company has reported 8.18% fall in its net profit at Rs 31.30 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2024 as compared to Rs 34.09 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total income of the company increased by 6.94% at Rs 93.72 crore for Q2FY25 as compared to Rs 87.64 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year. On consolidated basis, the company has reported fall of 8.28% in net profit at Rs 30.35 crore for Q2FY25 as compared to Rs 33.09 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total income of the company increased by 14.39% at Rs 113.59 crore for Q2FY25 as compared to Rs 99.30 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.
