Tuticorin Alkali Chemicals & Fertilisers has sought the permission of the Government of Tamil Nadu for the closure of the factory situated at Tuticorin. The production facility continues to be shutdown though the lock out was lifted on July 04, 2013. The company had earlier declared lock out with effect from the night of June 26, 2013 due to labour unrest.
Tuticorin Alkali Chemicals & Fertilisers’ principal activity is the manufacture and sale of soda ash, ammonium chloride, sodium bicarbonate, ammonium bicarbonate and bioproducts.
