Asian Markets traded mostly lower in early deals of Thursday, saddled by the worries over potential impact of new US President-elect Donald Trump's proposed tariffs on inflation and interest rates. Investor sentiments dulled amidst concerns about Sino-US tensions on bets that the incoming US President Donald Trump may appoint China hawks to his administration. Additionally, Beijing's latest support measures to bolster the struggling economy failed to impress investors. Hang Seng dipped for fourth straight session marking its lowest in seven weeks.

Hang Seng down by 173.54 points or 0.88% to 19,649.91, Taiwan dipped by 84.08 points or 0.37% to 22,776.15, Jakarta Composite declined by 41.78 points or 0.57% to 7,266.89 and Shanghai shrunk by 10.91 points or 0.32% to 3,428.37, and FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI lower by 4.11 points or 0.25% to 1,607.39.

On flip side, Nikkei 225 up by 8.65 points or 0.02% to 38,730.31, Straight times rose 1.29 points or 0.03% to 3,721.63, and KOSPI picked added by 12.73 points or 0.53% to 2,429.81.
