Coal India starts further exploration of twin mines in Mozambique: Report

State-run Coal India reportedly has begun further exploration of its twin mines in Mozambique. While, the company completed the selection of agency for further drilling of 30,000 metres in May, 2013, it started drilling blocks in Mozambique in the first week of June, 2013.

Further, the company completed the first stage of drilling of the mine in May, the contract for which was awarded to the company in November last year.

Coal India is the world’s largest coal mining company. It also produces non-coking coal and coking coal of various grades for diverse applications.
