Currency futures for January expiry trade stronger with 0.42% increase in OI

The partially convertible rupee is currently trading at 85.8950, weaker compared to its Thursday’s close at 85.86. The rupee opened at 85.88 and touched day’s high of 85.9025 and low of 85.8525.

The January currency futures were trading at 86.02 with a spread of 0.0075 and a volume of 1,33,558. The contract opened stronger at 86.0250 compared to its previous closing of 86.0325. The open interest (OI) stood at 31,82,272 up by 0.42% compared to its previous close of 31,68,852.
