Copper futures trade lower on Tuesday

21 Jan 2025 Evaluate
Copper futures were trading lower on Tuesday as traders are awaiting further clarity on policies following Donald Trump’s return to the White House as the 47th President of the United States. But some falls were limited by weakening of US dollar against its major peers overseas. US markets were closed Monday for Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

Copper futures for March delivery lost $0.0655 or 1.5% at $4.3030 a pound on the Comex metals division of New York Mercantile Exchange.
