Veritas Finance has filed draft red herring prospectus (DRHP) with the market regulator Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) to raise funds through an initial public offering (IPO).
The IPO comprises a fresh issue of equity shares aggregating up to Rs 600 crore and an Offer-for-Sale (OFS) of equity shares worth Rs 2,200 crore by the investor and individual selling shareholders. The public offer includes a reservation of equity shares for subscription by eligible employees. The company proposes to utilize the net proceeds towards augmenting its capital base to meet future business requirements of the company towards onward lending.
Veritas Finance is focused on meeting the financial needs of the micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) in India, which has remained largely underserved despite several initiatives.
