Gold futures finished higher on Tuesday, boosted by the safe haven appeal as the concerns over trade wars lingered following President Trump's announcement of potential tariff policies. Besides, softness in dollar and on bets on continued Fed interest rate cuts also kindled investment appeal of non-yielding bullion.
Gold futures for February delivery up by $10.50 or 0.38% to $2,759.20 ounce on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile. While, spot gold rose by $4.27 or 0.16% to $2,749.08 an ounce.
