Crude oil futures ended slightly higher on Friday on account of weaker dollar. The dollar dropped more than 0.6% as Trump called for lower interest rates. However, upside remained capped after U.S. President Donald Trump reiterated his call for the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries to cut oil prices to hurt oil-rich Russia’s finances and help bring an end to the war in Ukraine.
Benchmark crude oil futures for March added $0.04 or 0.05 percent to settle at $74.66 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Brent crude for March delivery rose $0.26 or 0.34 percent to settle at $78.55 a barrel on London's Intercontinental Exchange.
