Maharashtra Scooters to offer Voluntary Retirement Scheme

Maharashtra Scooters (MSL) has declared a voluntary retirement scheme for the permanent daily rated workmen employed in the scooter manufacturing unit of the company. The scheme will be operative during the period from June 06, 2011 to June 27, 2011.

Recently, Maharashtra Scooters has entered into a fresh wage agreement with the company's recognized Union - Maharashtra Scooters Kamgar Union, Satara for a period of 5 years starting from April 01, 2011.

MSL is a joint sector enterprise promoted by Western Maharashtra Development Corporation (27%) and Bajaj Auto (24%). MSL has managerial and technical agreement with Bajaj Auto for production of scooters. Scooter brands included Chetak, Super and Priya. The company has its plants in Waluj and Akurdi.
