KCP is planning to expand its sugar mills in Vietnam through its subsidiary KCP Vietnam Industries. It is likely to invest around $80 million for the expansion, which will be more than double the capacity at two of its sugar mills. These sugar mills in the district of Son Hoa have sugarcane crushing capacity of 4,500 tonnes a day, and Dong Xuan mill of 1,000 tonnes.
KCP is a diversified business group with interests in heavy engineering, sugar, cement, hydel power, information technology and biotechnology. KCP's cement division has a state-of-the-art cement manufacturing plant at Macherla in Andhra Pradesh.
