Suzlon Energy inks agreement with Sanofi India for offsite windmill installation

Suzlon Energy, the country’s largest wind turbine manufacturer, has inked an agreement with Sanofi India, for a 2.1 MW (megawatt) offsite windmill installation, which would generate renewable power for captive consumption at Sanofi’s Ankleshwar manufacturing site.

The manufacturing site at Ankieshwar - one of Sanofi's three GIMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) compliant state-of-the-art manufacturing sites in India - produces solid dose formulations and Active Pharma Ingredients (API).

Suzlon Group comprises of Suzlon Energy and its subsidiaries, including Repower Systems SE. Suzlon Energy is leader in wind energy in the India, which is world’s fifth largest wind energy market. Its business model has range of services that include development, manufacturing, marketing, EPC project delivery and operations and maintenance of wind turbine generators around the world.
