Country's second-ranked software exporter Infosys faces a new lawsuit from an American job applicant, Brenda Koehler, who was rejected. The IT professional filed a lawsuit, alleging that the company had discriminated against job applicants in the country, by preferring to hire workers from South Asia to fill positions in the US.
Koehler, who holds over 15 years experience, has alleged that while she was qualified for the position to which she applied, but the company preferred to hire person of South Asian origin for the position.
However, Infosys has denied Koehler's claims and said it was an equal opportunity employer. Further, the company looks forward to addressing this matter in court, not in public venues where facts can become mixed with rumour, opinion and speculation.
