Coromandel International’s first consignment of phosphoric acid reaches at Kakinada Port

Coromandel International’s first consignment of phosphoric acid which deported from La Skhira Port in Tunisia about a fortnight ago with 31,269 tonnes of phosphoric acid, has arrived at the  Kakinada Port and delivered the CIL’s share of 12,498 tonnes.

Now, the vessel will leave, on Thursday, for Sikka Port on the west coast to deliver the remaining part of about 18,771 tonnes to Gujarat State Fertilisers and Chemicals (GSFC), the other Indian Shareholder of Tifert. 

Coromandel International is the country’s second-largest phosphatic fertilizer player. Its crop protection business produces insecticides, fungicides and herbicides and markets these products in India and across the globe. The firm has also ventured into the retail business, setting up more than 640 rural retail centres in Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka.
