NMDC slashes iron ore lump prices by Rs 200 per tonne

NMDC has reduced prices of iron ore lump by Rs 200 per tonne for August due to weak demand during the monsoon season. However, the company has kept the prices of fines unchanged. After the reduction, iron ore lumps would now be available at Rs 4,300 per tonne, while fines at Rs 2,510 per tonne. Iron ore lumps are of a higher grade with Fe content of 63-65%. Fines are of lower grade with Fe content of less than 60%.

NMDC is a state-controlled mineral producer of the Government of India. It is fully owned by the Government of India and is under administrative control of the Ministry of Steel.
