GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals has reported results for second quarter ended June 30, 2013.
On standalone basis, the company has reported a fall of 29.65% in its net profit at Rs 115.04 crore for the quarter, as compared to Rs 163.52 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company has decreased by 2.52% to Rs 682.22 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 699.88 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2012.
GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals is one oldest pharmaceutical company in India. Internationally it has created many brands such as Ribena, Horlicks, Lucozade, Aquafresh, Sensodyne, Panadol, Tums and Zovirax, among others. It employs 5,000 people and has turnover of more than $1 billion in India.
