Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Ram Kripal Yadav on Thursday lashed out at Bihar's Panchayati Raj Minister Bhim Singh for his appalling remark insulting the soldiers killed by Pakistanis at the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir in Poonch sector on Tuesday, and said Chief Minister Nitish Kumar should immediately sack him and added that a minister giving such a comment is shocking. If you can't be sympathetic then at least don't insult.

There was no minister at the Patna airport to receive the bodies of the soldiers and when asked about the absence of state ministers at the airport to Minister Bhim Singh, he replied that 'Sena aur police me log marne hi jate hain' (People join the army and the police force only to die).

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has asked Singh to immediately tender an unconditional apology to the families of the martyred soldiers hailing from Bihar, withdraw the remark and not to repeat such statements in the future. Bhim Singh, however, today apologized for his insensitive remark and said that he apologize if his distorted comments have caused pain to the people minister.

The Bihar Chief Minister had earlier announced state honors for the martyrs, and also announced Rs.10 lakh ex gratia payment to each of the affected families
