State-run Mining major Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation (GMDC) has reported results for the quarter ended September 30, 2011.
The company‘s net profit for the quarter increased by 12.16% at Rs 62.62 crore as compared to Rs 55.83 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2010. The company’s total income has increased by 1.59% to Rs 258.81 crore for the September quarter of the year 2011 from Rs 254.76 crore for the corresponding quarter of the year 2010.
The company during the quarter under review reported that its lignite mining generated total revenue of Rs 185 crore, which constitutes about 71 per cent of GMDC's total revenues generated during the quarter. Revenues from bauxite stood Rs 40 crore during the quarter.
