RITES, Avantel and JBM Auto to see some action today

RITES has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Central Water and Power Research Station (CWPRS), an R&D organization as a subordinate office of the Department of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation, Ministry of Jal Shakti. This collaboration entails works related to engineering consultancy services, and research & development projects in water resources, marine, and inland waterways infrastructure.

Avantel has received a Purchase Order worth of Rs 43.25 crore (including taxes) from NewSpace India for Supply, Installation and Commissioning of Devices for Xponders. The said order is expected to be completed by August 2025. 

JBM Ecolife Mobility, a subsidiary of JBM Auto, has been awarded the Tender for end-to-end execution of 1,021 Electric Buses and development of allied electric and civil Infrastructure on Gross Cost Contracting (GCC) under the PM-eBus Sewa Scheme (Tender-II). The project will be supported by a Payment Security Mechanism (PSM), ensuring timely payments to electric bus operators and enhancing financial sustainability for industry stakeholders. The approximate order value of the tender stands at Rs 5,500 crore. These e-buses will be deployed in around 19 cities across Gujarat, Maharashtra and Haryana. The company has received on February 18, 2025, the Letter of Confirmation of Quantities eligible for award as issued by Convergence Energy Services (CESL).

Thomas Cook (India) and its group company SOTC Travel have entered into strategic 24-month partnership with Korea Tourism Organization. The collaboration will focus on Special Projects towards increasing visibility for the destination in the high-potential India market. The collaboration extends across exchange of knowledge, best practices and development of unique-innovative products designed specifically for Indian travellers , fostering long-term growth in leisure, business and MICE segments for Korea.

Bharat Forge’s wholly owned subsidiary -- Kalyani Strategic Systems (KSSL) and AM General, USA, have signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) at IDEX 2025 for the supply of made in India advanced artillery cannons to the United States. This marks the first-ever supply of cannons from an Indian defence manufacturer to the United States, a testament to the strengthening bilateral defence cooperation between our two nations.

BCL Industries along with its subsidiary -- M/s. Svaksha Distillery -- has secured order from Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) for the supply of ethanol at their various locations across the country. The total combined value of the order is Rs 134.87 crore. 

Waaree Energies has secured an order for supply of solar modules for 362.5 Mwp from a renowned customer engaged in the business of owning, developing and operating renewable power projects in India. The supply of modules is scheduled to commence in FY 2025-26.
