Solar Industries India jumps as its arm secures contract from Ministry of Defence

Solar Industries India is currently trading at Rs. 9129.00, up by 156.70 points or 1.75% from its previous closing of Rs. 8972.30 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 8974.95 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 9138.85 and Rs. 8760.00 respectively. So far 1513 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 13300.00 on 11-Jul-2024 and a 52 week low of Rs. 6864.05 on 04-Mar-2024.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 9138.85 and Rs. 8479.30 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 82402.51 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 73.15%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 20.01% and 6.84% respectively.

Solar Industries India’s wholly owned subsidiary -- Solar Defence and Aerospace has secured a contract from Ministry of Defence, Government of India for Supply of Multi-Mode Hand Grenade. The value of the contract is Rs 239 crore and is to be delivered over a period of 1 year.

Earlier, the company and its subsidiary had received export orders worth Rs 2150 crore from International Clients for supply of defence products, to be delivered over a period of 6 years.
