SMS Pharmaceuticals has received an approval to invest up to Rs 30 crore in VKT Pharma by way of equity participation subject to necessary approvals. The board of director at its meeting held on August 13, 2013 has approved for the same.
The board has also considered and authorized the CMD to evaluate the possibilities of the low-performing assets to consolidate with existing facilities to reduce the operating overheads and also for better utilization of the said facilities.
SMS Pharmaceuticals is engaged in the manufacturing of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs) and its intermediates. The company has six manufacturing facilities and two R&D facilities located in Andhra Pradesh.
