Copper futures trade down on global trade war concerns

Copper futures were trading lower on Monday due to global trade war concerns ahead of a planned announcement on Wednesday by US President Donald Trump on reciprocal tariffs. However, some falls were limited by a weaker dollar against its major peers overseas.

Copper futures for May delivery lost $0.0395 or 0.77% at $5.0905 a pound on the Comex metals division of New York Mercantile Exchange.
