Crude oil futures end lower as traders awaits reciprocal tariffs announcement

Crude oil prices declined on Tuesday as the traders awaits U.S. President Donald Trump's reciprocal tariffs announcement on April 2 to assess the impact on fuel demand. Besides, the concerns over tighter global supply continues to worry the traders after Trump threatened Russia with tariffs and vowed to continue strikes on Yemen's Houthi rebels until they no longer pose a threat to global shipping. 

Benchmark crude oil futures for May declined by $0.28 or about 0.39% at $71.2 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Brent crude for May delivery slipped by $0.28 or 0.37% to $74.49 a barrel on London's Intercontinental Exchange.
