Videocon Mobile Phones, part of the diversified US$5 billion Videocon Group, has reportedly unveiled the new ‘Videocon A42’ Android Smartphone for its customers in India. The new device is priced at Rs 7,490. The 4.5-incher Videocon A42 comes with Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean) and has features such as dual SIM dual standby, 1.2 GHz dual core processor and 3.75G connectivity. The phone also has a 5MP rear camera and a 1.3MP front camera.
Videocon Industries, established two decades ago, is a global conglomerate with market capitalization of $2.5 billion. Videocon’s businesses consist of manufacturing, marketing and distribution of consumer electronics products and oil & gas extraction.
