Minister of State in the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) V Narayanasamy on Wednesday criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for disrupting the Parliament, saying that the opposition party is making a mockery of parliamentary democracy and added that they are continuously creating problems during the all sessions in the Parliament to avoid debating over bills to be passed.

Earlier, Congress general secretary Ajay Maken had appealed to opposition parties to cooperate in Parliament so that key reform Bills can be passed in the Monsoon Session and said that the Congress Party wanted to ask the opposition to allow that these pivotal and far-sighted Bills to be passed after parliamentary discussion. He further cautioned that if such behaviour is repeated then there would be a big question mark over the functioning of the nation as a democracy,

Ajay Maken added that, they wanted to ask the opposition to pass those Bills based on reform, as the Bills would benefit the common man. He further said that, not passing the Bills would be a threat to the democratic functioning of the nation and that they should all work together and not dismantle the temple of democracy.
