Welspun India trades in green on the BSE

Welspun India is currently trading at Rs. 54.00, up by 0.55 points or 1.03% from its previous closing of Rs. 53.45 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 61.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 61.00 and Rs. 53.00 respectively. So far 705 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 82.80 on 01-Feb-2013 and a 52 week low of Rs. 46.50 on 06-Aug-2013.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 62.10 and Rs. 50.10 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 533.11 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 68.41% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 16.97% and 14.62% respectively.

Welspun India’s business arm - Welspun Energy (WEL), the country’s biggest developer of solar projects has unveiled a 55-MW solar plant in Rajasthan, on August 21, 2013. This Rs 500-crore project was formally inaugurated by Union Minister for New and Renewable Energy, Farooq Abdullah, and Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot.

The company is likely to invest Rs 15,000 crore to set up 1,750 MW of renewable energy projects in the next three years. Currently, it has an operating capacity of around 150 MW, which expected to go up to 400 MW by the end of the current fiscal
