Bajaj Corp surges on plan on getting nod to acquire NOMARKS brand

Bajaj Corp is currently trading at Rs. 235.65, up by 3.10 points or 1.33% from its previous closing of Rs. 232.55 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 230.15 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 241.65 and Rs. 230.15 respectively. So far 4389 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 284.00 on 13-May-2013 and a 52 week low of Rs. 158.50 on 28-Aug-2012.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 248.50 and Rs. 230.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 3475.10 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 75.00% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 14.58% and 10.42% respectively.

Bajaj Corp has received its board approval for acquisition of the ‘NOMARKS’ anti marks skin care brand from Ozone Ayurvedics. The transaction envisages transfer of NOMARKS brand related business (inclusive of trademarks, patents, goodwill and existing contracts) of Ozone Ayurvedics. The Board of Directors has also accorded approval for execution of Agreement to Sell and other transaction documents towards completion of the aforementioned acquisition. The board at its meeting held on August 22, 2013 has approved for the same.

Bajaj Corp is engaged in the manufacturing of hair oils. The company markets its hair oil under the brand names Brahmi Amla, Amla Shikakai and Jasmine hair oil.
